Diving is a lifestyle to you and you are ready to go professional.  Your journey begins here with the PADI Divemaster program.  Under close mentorship of a PADI Instructor, you deepen your dive knowledge and build your scuba skills.  Be challenged to take on a leadership and supervisory role during dives and assist instructors to train other divers!

 

You will learn:

•    What your role and responsibilities are as a PADI Divemaster
•    How to plan, organize and direct dives
•    How to assist instructors during training sessions
•    How to put your knowledge into action through on-the-job training

Before you start, you need to be:

•    At least 18 years old
•    A PADI Rescue diver
•    Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care certified  – check out our 3-in-1 EFR & Rescue & Divermaster package deal
•    Logged more than 20 dives to start the course
•    Logged more than 60 dives to be certified as a Divemaster

The duration of the course depends on your progress and availability.  It normally ranges from 2 weeks to 6 months.  You will attend:
•    8 theory classes
•    10 pool sessions to demonstrate proficiency in diving skills and ability to assist instructor
•    Weekend dive trips to Malaysia for on-the-job training

For only S$1,500, you get everything you need:
•    Theory classes and course material – PADI Divemaster Manual, The Encyclopedia of Recreational Diving book, The PADI Diving Knowledge Workbook

•    Pool sessions
•    2D/2N weekend trip to Malaysia - transportation, food and accommodation
•    Rental of BCD and regulator
•    PADI certification

Requirements for Qualification:

Part A: Physical Component
400 meter timed swim, non-stop.
15 minutes tread water (during  the last 2 minutes  with hands held out of the water for 5 points)
800 meter timed snorkel, wearing only a swimsuit, non-stop using only your fins, (no arm strokes) 
100 meter tired diver tow wearing full scuba equipment non-stop, timed.

Part B: Skill Component
Execute 18 basic water skills to a high standard, scored assessment.

Part C: Rescue Component 
Execute a simulated rescue of an unresponsive non-breathing diver at the surface (pass or fail assessment) 

Part D: Dive Site Mapping
Survey and map a dive site of choice according to guidelines
